The home is situated on a peninsula, has pond frontage and a view of the saltwater.

Located in a quiet and scenic spot, the cottage is surrounded by several acres of grassy lawn, fields and woods.

Go fishing, swimming and canoeing right outside the front door! Wildlife in the pond and the area includes trout, beaver, ospreys, heron, eagles, foxes, porcupines, otter, mink, white-tailed deer and moose.

About 100 meters from the property the pond empties into the saltwater, "Damariscotta Estuary".

The cottage

...has 65 square meters of space, is fully equipped and accommodates up to 4 people. There are:

• 2 bedrooms
  (one with a double bed, the other with 2 twin beds), and
• 1 bathroom with tub and shower attachment,
• 1 dining room that sits 4-6 people comfortably, and
• a living room with TV, VCR and stereo system.

...is an ideal state for people who love to explore nature and enjoy travelling away from crowds. With its many hills and mountains the state is covered with huge wild forests and many lakes large and small.

The Atlantic coast invites you to explore its rocky shores, sandy beaches and salt marshes.

Lobster harvesting and fishing, timber industry and tourism make up the local economy.

Spring is short and intensive. May/June is a time to see spectacular displays of blooming shrubs and wild flowers. By June, summer temperatures predominate. Summer days for the most part are very warm and sunny, nights pleasantly cool.

One of a few areas of the USA in which air conditioning is not a "must". September/October marks brilliant leaf color changes, especially that of sugar maples and draws many visitors to the area.
