In the wonderful valley of Elsa, near Casciana Terme (Pisa) there is an olive press and a small paradise called Agriturismo Le Valli, both owned by the same family. The old farmhouses has been beautifully restored using original materials of the time: field stones, hand-made bricks, timber beamed ceilings, terra-cotta floors.
As was customary, the ground floor was used to house animals while farmers used to sleep upstairs.
You can enjoy your stay in the farmhouses and discover a forgotten or unknown atmosphere, visit the olive press, learn how olives are picked up and transformed into extra-virgin olive-oil.
Agriturismo Le Valli lies between Casciana Terme and Chianni, at about 2,5 km from the two towns. It is a wonderful point of departure for tours to Volterra, S. Gimignano, Florence, Pisa, Lucca, the Versilia coast (40 km far). 2 km far from Casciana Spa, special convention for massages and treatments.
