The vineyard and farmstead "Casa Rina"
This
location has been registered in the Teresian land register since 1724
! Long gone memories of the vineyards can be revived by visiting the
main buildings which shows many of the tools used to produce wine.
All these objects can be seen in the cellar with itīs thick walls
of up to 1 m. The owners at that time called Luigi Giardelli and Margherita
Mogni erected a small Madonna Chapel in 1874 which is open to the
public and still in itīs original condition. |

| The
infrastructure was lovingly restored in 1997 and to
some extent rebuilt to the original plans, it is about 200
m above Lago di Como, situated on a sun terrace amongst
antique old vineyard terraces with a fantastic panoramic seaview
up to the southern part of the Lake Como. This area has a
very mild riviera-like climate. Close by in the neighbourhood
is a beautiful little waterfall. |

A few paths connect "Casa Rina" and Segna-Gaggio-Livo-Peglio-S.Croce
and San Carlo invites you for wandering trips. You can reach
the waterfront and beaches of Gravedona in up to 5 minutes by
car. |

The vineyard and farmstead of "Casa Rina" consists of 4 renovated
and inhabited buildings and with 8 apartments available for
guests. |

The
location of the buildings and the style in which they are
built ensures a great view of the sea from all apartments.
All
the apartments have separate entrances, they are all
styled in a rustic lombardic style and very detailled.
To
keep the rustic charm these apartments offer a very proper
and professional restoration was done with visible beamstuctures
and the traditional monastry plaster. |

original terracotta-panels in the living and sleeping
areas give these apartments a warm and rustic elegance.
The
living rooms are equipped with dining furniture couch
table and studio-couches. You also have access to internet
and a satelite TV.
The
living room enlarges into a kitchen section which is equipped
with all the needed facilities like: a coffee maker, dishwasher
and gas-oven with security valve and fumigator fan. A refridgerator
with freezer is also available. |

The bathrooms are modernly equipped with a washbasin,shower,
bidet, WC and washing machine.
The master-bedroom has a double bed and a cupboard.
The bedrooms have bunker beds and enough storing
areas, depending on the apartments. |

The "Casa Rina" a place to visit troughout the year!
...with
central heating and a boiler system for hot water. Each apartment
can be heated independantly.The most apartments have a warm air circulation
system or a rustic heating oven. All the apartments
have either a balcony or terrace and itīs own garden section with
nice garden furniture and BBQ area.

In
the large garden we have the sun-loungerer area for lazy relaxation
and a heated pool (7.10 x 3.70 m, depth 1.32 m). Interesting
for the kids is a small adjoining animal park.

to create a pleasant stay:
- wood
will be supplied if required for the fireplaces.
- the
local bakery has a bun and bread delivery-service for guests, which
brings fresh bakery-goods on request every morning.
- if an
additional childrenīs-bed is needed it will be organized free of
charge, please reserve this bed when booking.
