It offers many business, banks and cash-point dispensers, several large supermarkets, plentifully restaurants and taverns, an original fisher port, an old turkish mosque with well, a small museum, a venitianisches castellet at the port and a very beautiful old part of town.

At the promenade of Ierapetra it works in the season quite multicolored. In the high season there are many folklore evenings on weekend. In Ierapetra you see in addition, in the season still more creten poeple ones than tourists...

Here there is no mass tourism. Ierapetra has its own flair: actively with a modern touch and nevertheless with the so typical, kretischen style.
